Farmer | Morgan is proposing to develop a linear park to contain pedestrian shaded areas, performance stage and other amenities for citizens and visitors. Utilities and existing railline activities are constraints and opportunities for this downtown park that will create a much needed recreational community based space for the residents. Spring City is associated with flooding issues and railway problems in the past so much that it has clouded the future. This park is an opportunity for the Town to weave the past, present, and future together.
The selected concept taps into the history of what made the town flourish—the railroad—such a park could provide a meaningful heritage trail, blending recreation with historical storytelling. This project would strengthen community ties, promote health and safety, revive railroad history, and integrate with broader recreational and environmental initiatives—making Spring City a more vibrant and connected place. The park will also promote physical fitness, mental wellbeing, and offer accessible paths for walking, jogging, nature observation, or even train watching. Another goal of the park is to increase nearby property values, stimulate small business and attract economic investment.
